Hi. Mike here again from Clearview Mirrors in Melbourne. As some of you know we're now also producing fridge slides. We have our Easy Slide and now we have a new product called the Clearview Expanda. And our Expanda literally means that the fridge slide will expand width-wise and also lengthwise so if you have a small fridge you can slide the thing together and make it smaller. Or if you have want to put a bigger fridge in you can then open it up and make it longer so that you can put a larger fridge slide in there as well. Okay this is how our Clearview Slide Expanda works. Pull the two triggers down, slide it out to its maximum length. It's really quite easy. It locks back into place. You've got two triggers on it for stability, right. Beautiful. It comes with the tie-down straps as well and it actually comes in a do-it-yourself assembly kit, so it's a bit like going to Ikea. So here's our whole kit and as you can see it looks like a Meccano set but we're going to go through the process on how to assemble it so get yourself ready and let's get started. Okay now that you're finished assembling your slide we've got an Evercool fridge in here. Obviously it's a different length and a different size to the ARB fridge we just used. You'll find the same thing with the Y case. They're all different lengths all different sizes. Okay this is how our Clearview Slide Expanda works. Pull the two triggers down, slide it out to its maximum length. It's really quite easy. It locks back into place. You've got two triggers on it for stability, right. Beautiful. It comes with the tie-down straps as well and it actually comes in a do-it-yourself assembly kit, so it's a bit like going to Ikea. So here's our whole kit and as you can see it looks like a Meccano set but we're going to go through the process on how to assemble it so get yourself ready and let's get started. Okay now what I want to show you here is that we've laid all the components out to start. We've got assemble bags of screws here and they're all lock tighted so once you screw it into place they won't come undone. Right we've got straps here to hold your fridge in and these nuts, bolts and washers here all for attaching the fridge slide down into the back of your car. Right so we've got a right and a left hand slide and that's how they sit like that. And obviously this is the front. We've got several panels and you'll notice that we've got an A panel over there and one here, right. That's because they're the same panel. And it's the same with B and C except one of the B panels has our logo on the front of it so we use that as the front panel. When we're assembling you need to set the center panels over the top of them like that and they slide together to give you the widths that you need. You just need to line the holes up that are suitable for what you're doing for the width of the slide that you need. And it's the same with the length here we've got suitable holes down here to move these in and out so that the whole assembly becomes close to where you need it. It's not always going to be a perfect inside there but that's why we've got holes that are set out at 20 mil increments for the width and 25 mill increments for the length of it. And when you've put it all together and it’s all finished it should look exactly like that one just there. Okay now what we're going to do is we're going to start with Part A, Part C and Part BB cuz it's got the logo on the front and that's going to be the front plate. So we insert this plate into there like that. Okay and it just slides down there. And this other one goes in the other side. Slide it and then work out the width that you want and line up your holes. Try and get it symmetrical if you can right and that there looks pretty good. You can see down here as one plate goes over the other if you bring the camera in here Jay, and you can see that the holes there, right through that plate you've got three screws here and the same there. Right that's how you'd set your front plate up and this is the back plate here and it's basically the same thing except it goes on the back of the fridge slide. So set your holes up the same there again, like that, and it should be the same as that. Which it is and then that goes into the back of the fridge so when you lift your fridge up, right your fridge actually sits on this and that's what you got. Okay. So you do that for the front, do it for the back. Then you take these screws here. The small screws right and you need a three mil metric allen key and you're going to screw those together like that. Now for the ease of the illustration that we're doing here I'm gonna cheat and I'm gonna turn the camera off and assemble all this and then once it's put together we'll come back and I'll show you what the finished end plates look like. Okay now we've got the three plates assembled as one unit. You've got A, BB - which is the front one with the sticker on it - and C. Okay that's one end. You need to do the same thing with the other three identical and then when it comes time to do the bottom part of this rail here, right, you assemble the three pieces together so they slide and you utilize the same holes with the screws in the same positions as this front plate. You'll notice that the distance here is exactly the same as the distance there but the overall length of this is longer than that, and that's to allow for the actual roller bearing slides to go in there and this bolts to one side of the slide and the other side of the slide bolts to the outer plate here. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to assemble this here now with the t-bar that we supply in the box with the tools. So you've got to turn it upside down to assemble it. So we'll put these in here and this gives you the opportunity to go away and do the same thing now while I'm doing this okay and then we'll come back to it. Okay what we've done now is we've assembled our plates and we’ve assemble the bottom bases so that they're upside down so you can do the screws. You'll notice that the six holes here but we only put four screws in them. It's because when you adjust them into other positions you'll only ever get four screws in them. So four screws is more than enough to hold it together and what we're going to do now is when you set the frame up you need to turn that over like that and you'll notice that you've got a leg out the front of here on both of them. They both face the same way and if this is gonna be the front one, we have our cap screw here which comes in the kit obviously, and they go into the end hole here. Right screw those in and do them up because those are what the actual Baron slide locks onto. So once you've done those up in position then we'll go to the next step. Okay so just nip those up nice and tight and once again they're Allen keyed and lock tighted. Nip that up and that becomes your front and bottom panel which is this one here. Right and that's your actual locking screw that you latch locks onto. Okay now we've got our base plates and everything assembled and set out to the width of our fridge. These two plates here always attached to the end of the baron slides. Okay and I've laid them out like this with all the barons facing up because that's how we're going to attach them into this into these plates. So you need to pick this up and you go over there like that. Okay and we're gonna start down the back here and what we do is we open that up like that and we take a screw here. There's four holes down here but we only use three of those holes and any three is okay. So I'm going to pick this one here to start with. And I'm going to put one in there for the moment and I'm not going to tighten it up I'm only just going to do it up so they're just touches and then I'm going to come down here and do the front one and you slide the slide out like that and you'll see that there’s holes in the base there for this plate and everything to work. Now we don't use the very front hole, right. Sorry you've got to sit that slide over there so that your latch screw and everything is in position and then we'll set one of the screws up. Okay. Put one in there for the moment and then we're going to do the same thing with the other side. Start down the back, do the rear one first. Make sure you've got the both slides lined up into the same positions and the same holes on the opposite side. Put a screw in there. Okay don't tighten it. Come down here once again and open your slide right up. And set your screws up. Now once you've got the four screws in that'll actually give you a framework to start with and then you can start by putting your other screws in here. All right and you'll have to move this slide in and out to get to the third hole in this framework. Put that one in there. Slippery little critters there. Okay and then what we're going to do is we're going to move this back in and there's the third hole there. Okay so now you need to go along and put the rest of the screws and everything in place and once you've got them in place then tighten them all up so go and do that and then we'll come back and then we'll go to the next step. Okay now you've screwed the Baron runner slides to the cross plates. What we've done is we've used a G clamp to hold it down on the table. If you only use an old bench or something like that you don't have a G clamp you can just put a couple of tack screws or something in here just to hold it down so it doesn't slip and slide around on your wall you're trying to put screws on that in. So what we're going to do now is we're going to fit this extension, this front plate in, so that it sits in across there. So we start by sliding the Baron runners out and you might find that you need to hold that one there so you're just looking for the first stage here because that's what we're bolding. Okay so we're going to put that into here. Now because it's a long fridge we're going to move it right forward so I'll start off by doing one side at a time. And we'll get another bag of screws here. Drop them on there. And we're gonna set this up here to its furthest most point. You'll see that that hole there locates that button head screw there that holds this latch and everything in place. So start there and find a hole for you to screw into and we're in here. It's just once again don't over tighten the screws on it. Just them in place. I going to go down to the very back one. Okay not too tight. Now that now that that's actually sitting in place. We should have a third screw in there actually. You pick either of them there's several holes but you we need three on each side. And not over tight. So now we've got one side in place. Get in here and pull this slide out and position it in the same position as the other one and put a screw in it. Okay so we're gonna get that button head in one of those three screws and this is the furthest position outwards. Get a screw in there. And then I'll do the real one. And once you've got all the six screws located and sitting in place you can go around and tighten them all up. Okay so I'm gonna continue tightening these. You guys go and do that next, that step that I've just showed you. Okay now we've screwed this front plate and everything into position we need to work out the length that we need for the back plate. So what we're going to do is we're going to put this ARB fridge and we're gonna sit it in here where we want it. Bernie's gonna bring it round here and that's why we told you to clamp the back plate and everything down so that this doesn't topple over on your foot now that we've got a measurement here right we're gonna work out roughly where we want to put the plate. Okay and when I say roughly I'm just mean roughly. So we're gonna put that there now. Have a look at the front. Check it make sure it's a good fit here which looks okay considering it's got a bag and everything on it. So now we're going to take the fridge back out and we're going to leave this plate in place. Okay now we know that that fit was pretty neat on there so we're not going to actually tighten that up any further. So we're gonna try and get this thing into place one hole further back. Okay, so, we need to line these holes up here. See through there some how. Okay now we can see that the hole is there. All right we gonna go through the back here. You might need somebody to give you a hand here to line all these up so that you can get the screws in and once you get one in you’re pretty much good to go then. It's just getting that first one started. Once you do one here and go around the other side and then line the other one up and use the same holes around there. I'll come around here now. And. Okay we're up here somewhere. I'll get you Bernie to come and hold that up there for me will you? Down just a bit, a whisker. I think we’re inline there somewhere. Yep, we’re in. Okay once you do that just don't over tighten it. Once again I'll get some more screws and then you'll need to slide these runners along until you can actually see through the runner into the next position. So I’ll come back and we'll do this hole here. There you go. Okay and then I'll do the one on the other side. The same. And that's that one there. On there. Now I need to get into this end one here so I need to drop that lock out of place so that we can slide that along. Okay well that's it there. Sometimes just a little bit of a jiggle with the slides to be able to find that position. At this at this point here you can now start to nip all these up tight. And remember that each of these screws have got locked tight already in the thread so you don't have to put it on yourself. They're already done. Once they're in there they're in there for a long time. So I've got three over there, I've got two here, there's my third one. Now at this at this point now you got that in position you want to be putting your fridge back into the base here and make sure that you've haven't messed up somewhere along the line. Okay so let's grab the fridge Bernie and stick that in and make sure that we got our length correct with the fridge. Bernie's pretty tough. He can lift this thing on his own. Okay now if you have a look you can see that this fridge has got a little bit of leeway in its movement. You can get your straps on here. Push the fridge back a little bit to get your straps in the back here and put your tie-downs down on there and then you should be able to slide it all the way back. Now before I can close this up completely I have to take that G clamp off the back here because the thing won't go back far enough for the G clamp there. So I'm gonna take this off but be careful because if you move this thing all the way out and without the clamp on it it will fall on your foot. So now we're just going to push this back and it should all lock up okay. Beautiful. Okay. I hope you enjoy our Expanda. Okay what we're going to do now is we're going to go through the fasteners that are involved in bolting this thing down into your car and you see the cross plates here there's four holes in these. You don't need bolts in all four you only need bolts in the two end ones. If you can't find a position to bolt those into there then try the other ones back here. If they still don't work for you, you may need to move them inboard right. It all depends on what you're mounting it to and we can't guarantee that the mounting position where you're going to put it are gonna line up with what we got. So we've got four holes in the front, we've got four holes in the back and then the rest of it you're going to have to work out yourself. If you're mounting it on timber drawers we suggest that you drill through your timber top and that you use these, well, I don't even know what you call them. They're there a nut that goes into timber and you can see the spikes on it. They'll lock into the timber and they won't pull through. If you go into a metal top we've got some metals washers here that you need to put underneath right down underneath here to bolt it all down. And we provide the nuts and the washer. So you're going to use the washer there, right, you're gonna put that through the timber here like that right, and then you're going to put your nylocs up on the back of it. You’ve got four of them. If you really need to reposition a whole wall in you may need to drill through the plate and find another position so that you can get everything down nice and tight. Okay I think that's pretty much it. We've we supply the tie-down straps and everything with it for your fridge and once again thanks very much for buying it product.
